Wow! What goes around comes around...Dear Mohd Ali,

Wow! What goes around comes around. Its amazing how this post took nearly a year for a response...

I must admit that it takes a lot of guts to man up and admit the shortcomings. This is not a blame-game. It purely goes to show that your team was not prepared to handle an event, attended by newbies. If it was purely a 50km criterium, we would definitely back off.

What I am saying is the fact that the Kayuhan Kesihatan had turned out to be a Kayuhan Syok Sendiri for the organizing committee.

Put yourself in the shoes of the pakcik and makcik who were left behind. No one came to their aid and showed them the way. They have to find their way back to the carpark and leave with disappointment...

Nevertheless, I give you and your buddies credit for trying. Don't give up because what happened was a wake-up call and we are all learning at the same time...

Samsamohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11139480124713661761noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3505978833234354766.post-21147684400441354912011-11-13T03:52:49.950-08:002011-11-13T03:52:49.950-08:00Hi;
I just found your blog and story from Mr, Won...Hi;

I just found your blog and story from Mr, Won (not Woon as written in your blog).

I'm very sorry for all the difficulties in the ride even. Actually the ride NOT organised by MOH, but by me under myJICA (The Japan International Cooperation Agency Alumni Society of Malaysia) httt://www.myjica.net

Any blamed shouldn't go to MOH since MOH just support the event and not the organizer. I'm myJICA deputy president and fully responsible for the event. Our target and budget for the event was 100px. However we were asked to accommodate everybody and finally 250 px took part. I've a lot of constraint and very paint full experience organized that event. Many cyclists asking for Kayuhan Kesihatan Putrajaya 2011, however personally I don't want to organised it again, mainly because I'm no longer MOH staff.

In short thousands apologies for your difficulties.

-- Muhamad Bin ALi @ MBAmba2uhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10379213944611019711noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3505978833234354766.post-70327265904951599442010-12-14T20:13:02.839-08:002010-12-14T20:13:02.839-08:00I agreed that the Ride should have been better org...I agreed that the Ride should have been better organized with appropriate challenges for different level of riders rather than lump everyone on the same route. Please note that not all MTB or Road Bikes completed the route too, but definitely there are folders of 16 inches and 20 inches wheels which completed the 50 km route, otherwise wrong signal that smaller wheels cannot cover the distance. It is not a race, but definitely a call for your stamina and endurance to maintain a reasonable riding speed to complete the 50 km route in good time.

I hope the Organizer have gain some valuable experience and I look forward that they will organize more fun cycling events for all levels and categories of cyclists.Bil Choyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07222927237495430299noreply@blogger.com
