Last Friday nite was a blast! Celebrated the Malaysia Knife Forum's third year anniversary with a dinner at Seri Melaka restaurant at AMCORP Mall in Petaling Jaya with the members as well as new committee.

I founded the forum back in mid-06 in hope to foster good ties and a better understanding on edged tools among the knife collectors and users from all over the country. Today, we have about 100 members and at least 20 active individuals who constantly take part in our meet and greets held once in every two months.

In the beginning, we had a small group who gathered at Chilli's in Bangsar. The number grew and we changed our meet and greet location to TGIF's in Section 14, Petaling Jaya. Some of the guys from the original group are the ones whom I have known for nearly 10 years.

I missed my Grinchskies! `

Queenie and Naughty

The Grinchskies waiting for their Momma Mrs Samo at home...

Michelle and I have been living with our Siberian Huskies -- Naughty-boy and Queenie for nearly three years. Being away from them is like missing our kids. I hope they are fine cos there has been a spate of dog-napping and theft around the Subang Jaya and Puchong area.

Happyness, is to see the kids wagging their tails and the Coonkid (Queenie got her nickname when her mask was still visible as a pup) browling (barking howl) away when I get home. I have grown very attached to them and consider them my family members.

Chung festival - June 8

Aahhh.. I remember my por-por ( grandma) and her awesome chung. Fat, oily and tasty. Which explained her demise in the later years due to hypertension. I am half-Hakka, loves pork and fat stuff. It also warded my old man in the hospital when his arteries clogged.

Chung prevented him from smoking - a habit he had indulged for decades. Smoking sucks and smokers blow! Anyways, I've completed an assignment on Chung-making, the commercial way and interviewed an old contact in Puchong. Stingy bugger!

So, tonite, Pat, my mum in-law had invited me to her place to savour some Nonya Chung, her favourite. Speaking of which, I had some pleasant memories of my paternal grandma's Hakka Chung. And I believe that no one else in the universe can make Chung like my late Grannie. It was AWESOME and memories of its tastes is permanently embedded in my brains!
