I had a chance to catch up with Chris Wong over lunch today.
This Chris Wong is not the architect dude Chris Wong who rides a Brompton and a Dahon Mu Uno, but rather, a different guy who bears the same name.
I linked him up with TT Siang and was told that he have had a great time a week ago, riding with a core group of folding bike cyclists.
Its good the hear that the numbers are growing and that he too had learned much about bicycles and bicycling from the founding fathers of the core group.
With the old teaching the new, more new people coming into the fold, the future is set for the folding bike scene.
As for us lowly minions, it's a cue for a timely departure.
We are sick of the politics and double-standards, segregation, bigamy and bullshit.
That said, we won't be joining flock anymore, nor we would participate in any more organized events by the group of people who started it all.
Nothing they can say would sway is back into the fold. We are on our own as of today.
The Malay adage: patah tumbuh, hilang berganti and buangkan yang keruh and ambil yang jernih applies in this situation.
