Daniel Koster's modern Nessmuk

This Nessmuk is made with S3V steel - a viable option for our weather conditions
A 'monster' Nessie

Knifemaker Daniel Koster did a helluva job modernising George Sear's traditional field knife design - the Nessmuk.

I fell in love with the design for its simplicity and usefulness in the field. Its used to prepare food, skin small animals and dress game.

Koster's rendition of the Nessmuk with high-speed steel gave me plenty of inspiration to commission a piece for work in the Malaysian jungle.
